Hope of Heaven

Hope of Heaven is a stunning 16.2h stallion, and grandson of the famous Abdullah who won team gold and individual silver at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, won the World Cup in Berlin in 1985, and was the leading horse at the World Championships in Aachen in 1986. Hope of Heaven’s sire, Alaskatraum (son of Abdullah), competed successfully in S level show jumping (1.40-1.45m) with Irish Olympian, Denis Lynch.

Hope of Heaven was awarded “Champion Jumper” at his approvals in Neumünster, Germany as a 2 year old where we purchased him. He remained in Germany to complete his stallion performance testing and begin his competition career. Hope of Heaven had several early successes winning many 1.15m classes as a 4/5 year old. Hope went on to qualify for the Bundeschampionate for show jumping as a 5 and 6 year old with top scores in the mid to high 8’s and competed up to 1.35m+ as a 6 year old with many wins and top placings prior to arriving in Canada to begin his breeding career in North America. Hope of Heaven is still in a full work under saddle program doing advanced flat work and jumping.

Hope shows that he has the scope and athleticism for much more and his offspring are also showing tremendous scope. One of his offspring from his first Canadian foal crop, BSH Matinee (bred, owned, and ridden by Shawn Butler), was champion 5 year old of the young horse jumper series in Canada in 2018, finished 3rd overall in the 6 year old young jumpers in 2019, finished 5th in the 7 year old young jumpers in 2020 (1.35m) and is looking to make her move up to 1.40-1.45m level and Grand Prix. Hope’s offspring are starting to rise up the levels across the hunter, jumper, and eventing disciplines in North America and Germany.
