Aida

1973 chestnut – Aida was an accomplished performance mare. As a jumper under Jim Elder, she qualified to represent Canada at the 1984 Olympic Games (the same Games as her brother Abdullah!), as well as having competed for Canada at several World Cup competitions. As a broodmare she was recognized as Elite by the American Trakehner Assocation for the quality of her produce, which in addition to Aberdeen, includes the Canadian Sport Horse stallion Astrahan who had wins up to Intermediate level in eventing and many good placings as a Grand Prix show jumper. Younger brother Ahlerich GS is a rising star at the Advanced level of eventing having already completed the Foxhall Cup CCI*** at age 6.
